The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will host a virtual public information meeting on April 28, 2021 at 6 p.m. to discuss I-465 Temporary Interchange Ramp Traffic Management Strategies during the I-65/I-70 North Split Interchange construction.
The purpose of the virtual public information meeting is to offer area residents, stakeholders, and other interested persons an opportunity to learn more about I-465 temporary interchange ramp management strategies. To manage traffic congestion, INDOT will install temporary interchange ramp meters and temporary ramp closures along I-465 on the south and east sides of Indianapolis. These ramp meters and closures will help limit traffic on I-465 at peak periods of traffic flow and are regularly used throughout the U.S. as an effective traffic management strategy.
