Beam placement delayed due to high winds
Michigan Street – which is currently closed under I-65 between Davidson and Pine streets for pile driving and overhead bridge work – will now reopen on or after Saturday, February 19. The closure has been extended due to recent high winds preventing crews from placing beams.
INDOT further reminds motorists Michigan Street is expected to close again on March 5 through March 14 for continued pile driving and overhead bridge work.
During of this closure, westbound traffic is redirected to Washington Street, and pedestrian and bicycle traffic is redirected to Vermont Street.
