INDOT is committed to public involvement throughout the CSS process. This includes:

  • Neighborhood meetings, in two rounds, for neighborhood-level input and direction on CSSĀ  concepts, ideas and treatments
  • Public meetings to collect community-level feedback and direction on proposed CSS concepts, ideas and treatments
  • The CSS Resource Team, comprised of local agencies and organizations, with unique community insights and ownership/maintenance of future treatments and assets (art, trails, landscaping,. etc.)
  • Feedback from CAC and City of Indianapolis

CSS Neighborhood Meetings

The North Split project team is meeting with many neighborhood groups adjacent to the project area. The goal of these meetings is to collect neighborhood-level input and direction on CSS concepts, ideas and treatments. Below is the current meeting schedule:

  • Thursday, March 28, 7 p.m. – Holy Cross/Cottage Home/Windsor Park/Woodruff Place neighborhoods – Arsenal Technical High School
  • Saturday, March 30, 9 a.m. – Fletcher Place/North Square/Bates-Hendricks/Stadium Village Business Association/Old Southside neighborhoods – Sacred Heart Parish Hall
  • Tuesday, April 2, 7 p.m. – Chatham Arch/Lockerbie Square neighborhoods – Fire Station Museum
  • Thursday, April 4, 5 pm. – Interstate Business Groups/Cole-Noble neighborhood – Young & Laramore gym
  • Tuesday, April 9, 7 p.m. – Herron-Morton/Old Northside/St. Joseph neighborhoods – location TBD
