Fowling Warehouse: Football bowling through construction to deliver fun times to Indy

Located in the heart of Windsor Park, Fowling Warehouse can be found in the Circle City Industrial Complex (CCIC) at 1125 E. Brookside Ave. Fowling has six locations across the Midwest, but its roots run deep in Indianapolis. It all started 20 years ago when a football was thrown at a setup of bowling pins during an Indy 500 tailgate—the rest was history.

Fowling combines football and bowling with a hint of cornhole, to create a unique mashup for players. Fowling Warehouse offers a venue for groups to try their hand at the sport while sharing a few laughs and a few drinks from one of the Warehouse’s two full-service bars or Mystery Beer Machine™.

“What’s great is, you don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy Fowling,” said Meggan Page, Indianapolis’ Fowling Warehouse franchise owner. “I’ve seen people walk through the door who have never thrown a football and still have a wonderful time.”

Page, her husband, and their children began working on the pool-hall style facility in 2019 after founder and close family friend Chris Hutt identified Windsor Park as the next up-and-coming Indy location. With Bottleworks already under construction, Page says they knew it was where they needed to be.

Fowling Warehouse opened its doors on Indy’s near east side in August 2020, just at the height of the pandemic. With North Split reconstruction starting soon after, the business became no stranger to setbacks but took the challenges in stride. Now, Page calls the CCIC a “little village,” which she credits for Fowling’s revival: “It was a huge team effort.”

So, what’s on the horizon? The facility will host its very own beer and cider festival this November. More than 16 individual breweries will fowl against one another tournament-style while attendees can cheer on their favorite team and enjoy unlimited beer and cider tastings, food trucks, and live music.

In addition to open play hours, Fowling Warehouse also hosts private parties, fundraisers, and corporate events. You can follow them on Facebook or Instagram to learn more or click here to read about summer membership options.
