Neighborhood meetings to discuss potential noise barriers for each suggested noise barrier location will be held:

Thursday, Oct. 17, 6-8 p.m. – Noise Barrier 7 – Athenaeum Auditorium, 401 E. Michigan St., Indianapolis (see map of NB7)
• Tuesday, Oct. 22, 7-9 p.m. – Noise Barrier 5 – Firefighters Museum, 748 Massachusetts Ave., Indianapolis  (see map of NB 4&5)
• Wednesday, Oct. 23, 6-8 p.m. – Noise Barrier 4 – Knights of Columbus McGowan Hall, 1305 N. Delaware St., Indianapolis (see map of NB 4&5)

The North Split Project Team will present INDOT’s noise mitigation process and proposed barrier locations and answer resident questions.

The final decision of any abatement measures will be made upon final design and the public involvement process. It is essential that benefited receptors participate in the noise survey so INDOT can consider their opinions.

Each noise barrier is analyzed separately and determined to be reasonable and feasible on a case-by-case basis.
